Turnips 4 ways!

The children worked on their peeling, chopping and grating skills, using the equipment safely and sensibly. 

Then we investigated various ways of cooking foods, thinking about the changes caused by each method, and the time considerations. 

Finally, it was time to tuck in to our healthy, seasonal, local turnips! They were all a massive hit!

Turnips.... They're all the same right? Noooo! Class 2 discovered that though they may all share certain characteristics, they are each unique just like us! They looked at the turnips as scientists, artists and mathematicians would and found out what made their turnip special.

What a day! Amazing children taking risks and working and supporting each other as a team. So proud!

Newspapers pretty please?!
